Welcome to Gracie Barra Texas, proudly led by the esteemed Master Draculino! We are honored that we are the only academy in the Houston area managed daily by a 7th Degree Coral Belt Master, offering our students an unparalleled level of guidance. Our academy is situated around the corner from the NASA Space Center, where we’ve embarked on our own mission to impart the incredible art of Jiu-Jitsu and foster the growth of role models in our community. At Gracie Barra Texas, you’ll find a team of world-champion and highly trained instructors specializing in Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA, all dedicated to helping you reach your full potential on the mats and in life.

Meet Master "Draculino"
Master Vinicius "Draculino" Magalhães is an icon of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. 7th Degree Coral Belt - Red & Black Belt under Grand Master Carlos Gracie Jr., he established Gracie Barra Belo Horizonte (producing legends like Romulo Barral, Samuel Braga, and Cristiano "Titi") before moving to Texas.
Under his visionary leadership, Gracie Barra Texas in Webster has become one of the premier schools in the Texas. His focus remains on providing systematic, safe BJJ instruction that empowers students to exceed their athletic goals.

Our Instructors
Brandon Mullins
American Brandon Mullins is a 5th-degree black belt under Klay Pittman and the iconic Vinicius "Draculino" Magalhães (Gracie Barra). He historically stood out in the lighter weight classes, such as rooster and light-feather, especially within the No-Gi circuit. His elite competition achievements include being a two-time IBJJF Adult No-Gi Black Belt World Champion (2010 and 2011), the 2013 IBJJF European Champion, and the 2009 IBJJF Pan No-Gi Champion (silver in 2010). Finally, he won the United States Open Jiu-Jitsu as a black belt in 2010 and as a brown belt in the year of 2006.
Roberto Rivas
Professor Roberto "Berto" Rivas is the Head Instructor for Kids at Gracie Barra Texas. A decorated Black Belt with multiple IBJJF Houston Open titles and a Third Coast Grappling win, his Jiu-Jitsu journey actually began in college back in 2010. Captivated instantly, he even introduced his teen brother to the sport. Influenced by his first coach, Roberto found a welcoming home at Gracie Barra. Starting at the front desk, he quickly began assisting Professor Draculino. Nowadays, he finds immense joy building children's confidence, strength, and resilience through the wonderful martial art of BJJ!!
Juliana Lima
Juliana de Lima Carneiro, known as “Ju Thai”, is a talented Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, a Muay Thai Kru formed by Bob Perez, and an experienced MMA veteran. Her magnificent career includes fights in top-tier events like the UFC and Invicta FC. Juliana started in professional MMA in the year of 2010, in Brazil, remaining undefeated in her first three years with 5 victories. In addition, she also won the IBJJF Pan American tournament. Today, she is the head Muay Thai instructor at Gracie Barra Texas, utilizing her great passion for teaching to develop the entire martial arts program.
Lucas Valente
Lucas Valente is a top lightweight representative of the Gracie Barra team, widely recognized for having one of the most difficult guards to pass in modern Jiu-Jitsu. His elite grappling resume includes the UFC BJJ 7 belt and the 2019 SJJIF World Championship title. At the IBJJF World Championship, he secured a silver medal in 2019 and bronze in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, he won the 2019 NY Fall No-Gi Open and multiple IBJJF Opens in Houston, Dallas, and Nashville. As a colored belt, he claimed titles at the Pan No-Gi, American Nationals, and the CBJJ Brazilian Juvenile Championship.
Andressa Cintra
Andressa Cintra (who is married to Lucas Valente) is one of the most dominant athletes in modern women's Jiu-Jitsu. Competing primarily in the middleweight division, she previously topped the IBJJF rankings. She is an incredible five-time IBJJF Black Belt World Champion with the gi (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024), and the 2023 IBJJF No-Gi World Champion at heavyweight. Her impressive resume also includes being a two-time IBJJF Pan Champion (2020, 2021) and a 2022 CBJJ Brazilian Champion. As a colored belt, she was a 2017 IBJJF World Champion and a three-time CBJJ Brazilian Champion.

At Gracie Barra Texas, we’re proud to offer modern, state-of-the-art facilities designed to elevate your training experience. Since moving into our new building in January 2024, we’ve created a space that blends comfort and functionality, ensuring you have everything you need to reach your goals.
Modern and Spacious:
Our facility spans over 6000 square feet of mat space, providing one dedicated jiu-jitsu training area, one Muay Thai training area, and a smaller private space for private sessions. Additionally, we offer an upstairs lounge with a comfortable seating area and a glass wall that gives a full view of the main training areas. Whether you’re training, relaxing, or socializing, our facility reflects a commitment to a welcoming and efficient environment.
